Photo Exhibition for GCAB Adrian Street, Norville Opticians branch manager in Dursley, Gloucestershire is an amateur photographer and is exhibiting some of his black and white images to raise money for a local charity. Dursley Town Council run a scheme called On View that allows local artists to display their work in empty shop windows, and they have kindly given him some space at 29 Silver Street, Dursley for about 8 weeks. Adrian says ‘I have never exhibited before and I’m hoping people will like my pictures as I’m going to donate the money from any sales to an excellent local charity, the Gloucestershire County Association for the Blind. I would like to thank Norville Opticians, who have paid for the photo printing, so that all of the money raised will go straight to GCAB.’ ‘Black and white is my favourite type of image and most that will be on display were taken around Gloucestershire. I don’t like altering my images with specialist editing software – I even prefer to take the photographs in monochrome – so apart from a bit of cropping what you will see is how the images were downloaded from my camera.’ For more information e-mail dursley@norville-opticians.co.uk
