Services

GCAB provide numerous services including a Resource Centre that has aids & equipment for visually impaired people, such as talking and tactile watches & clocks; specialised kitchen items; talking bathroom and kitchen scales; talking microwave ovens - and many other helpful items for daily living.

We provide a Visiting Service for the blind where our dedicated volunteers visit and help those disgnosed as blind or partially sighted.

They offer Advice and Help on safety, communication, provisions, benefits, specialised equipment, talking books and newspapers, and any other aspects which a client may wish to raise.

We provide a Hospital Information Service held at local Eye Clinics were our volunteers are available to speak to you about any worries or concerns you may have. They also have leaflets on the more common eye conditions, useful aids and equipment and the other services offered by GCAB.

We also provide New Members Groups where discussions are held on various topics concerned with being blind or partially sighted. Poeple can use these sessions to gain information, help and advice.
