About Us Image

The Gloucestershire County Association for the Blind is an independent charity providing services for visually impaired people in Gloucestershire.

We can offer practical assistance and information to help you to cope with your sight problem on a daily basis. We have a large number of items of equipment designed especially to help you.

We offer a Resource and Training Centre, a Visiting Service, a Hospital Information Service, Financial Assistance, a Newsletter and General Information Service.

We depend on generosity in many forms: it might be in the form of a legacy, a funeral collection or a donation. Every single penny we receive stays within Gloucestershire, helping local people. When you wish to donate money for the blind, please specify GCAB if you wish it to be used to help local people.

We are proud and privileged to have as one of our Patrons His Royal Highness, Prince Michael of Kent, GCVO.

We are an independent organisation, but gladly acknowledge the associated work carried out by the county's local blind clubs and the national blind charities
such as RNIB.
