| The volunteers of Gloucestershire County Association for the Blind have been honoured with the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service 2006 – one of only 103 voluntary organisations throughout the UK to be recognised in this way this year. The award is announced on the 2nd June each year, the anniversary of the Coronation of Her Majesty. Full Story Here | |
We are an independent organisation, but gladly acknowledge the associated work carried out by the county's local blind clubs and the national blind charities such as RNIB. We are here to support and advise people who are registered blind or partially sighted and people who have a significant sight loss, which affects their everyday lives. |
